چکیده
Quantitative in vivo measurement helps physicians determine abnormal tissue size or resection margin accurately. Herein, 3D imaging of features during endoscopic operation using a light switching microprojector is reported. The rotational offset microlens arrays and customized illumination fiber bundle fully integrated through single channel clinical endoscope. switches white into structured laser patterns on demand. profiles are precisely extracted by calculating the distortion uniform target surface. endoscope allows precise volume polyp phantoms within 7.70% 13.33% errors, respectively. experimental results show accurate measurements ex human changes inflated stomach wall an anesthetized pig. can provide new opportunity for biometric applications.

There is a need for cost effective, quantitative tissue spectroscopy and imaging systems in clinical diagnostics and pre-clinical biomedical research. A platform that utilizes a commercially available light-emitting diode (LED) based projector, cameras, and scaled Monte Carlo model for calculating tissue optical properties is presented. These components are put together to perform spatial frequ...
متن کاملGastrointestinal imaging: endoscopic ultrasound.
The development of endoscopic ultrasound (EUS) since its introduction in the early 1980s has added greatly to the quality of imaging of the gastrointestinal tract. EUS is probably the investigation of choice for local staging of several gastrointestinal tumors and evaluation of submucosal masses. In addition to well-established indications, newer applications of EUS are emerging. For example, E...

STATE OF THE ART New technologies in the form of high-magnification or "zoom" endoscopy complemented by chromoscopic agents or Narrow Band Imaging permit early detection of neoplastic lesions, particularly flat and depressed types. Detailed characteristics of the mucosal surface can be obtained, enabling an in vivo "optical biopsy" to make an instant diagnosis at endoscopy, previously possible ...
متن کاملEndoscopic Molecular Imaging in Gastrointestinal Oncology
Gastrointestinal (GI) endoscopy has been widely used for detection, differentiation and staging for neoplasia in the digestive tract, and has made great progress during the last decade (Sivak, 2006). Diagnostic accuracy can be enhanced by better training, more efficient techniques, and the development of new image-processing technologies (Cotton et al., 2006; Tajiri, 2007); however, diagnosis u...
